Information & Support for Door Supervisors - National Doorwatch

The level of interest in National Doorwatch from Door Supervisors and other agencies working in the Night-time Economy (NTE) is accelerating. To keep up with this interest National Doorwatch have decided to appoint representatives to act as a contact point for those wishing to set up a local Doorwatch.

As national interest in the Doorwatch project grows, Terry Lewis-Clarke is appointed as the regional contact for Doorwatch in the Sheffield & South Yorkshire area.

National Doorwatch are pleased to announce that Terry Lewis-Clarke is to be the Doorwatch representative for the Sheffield and South Yorkshire area.  Terry is extremely passionate about the industry, having worked the Doors of all types of premises for more years than he cares to remember.  He also brings to the table, a wealth of knowledge from his life in the sunshine, where he has been a project manager, trainer, and is currently working in local Government.

Terry said "I've seen alot of organisations start up and fail in the Door Supervision sector - but this is the first time I've believed we could succeed.  I am very aware of the responsibility I have to the Door Supervisors in the Sheffield and South Yorkshire area, and to the National Doorwatch project as a whole." 

The Chair of National Doorwatch, Ian Fox, said "The integrity of the National Doorwatch brand is crucial to its success.  When inviting people to be voluntary representatives of our organisation we have to take as much care as we can, before reaching a decision".  Prior to appointing Terry, we had several conversations, reviewed his CV, and I went to see him personally.  I have no doubt Terry has the knowledge and the experience to be an excellent representative for the Doorwatch project.  I also have no doubt he will a strong advocate for the Door Supervisors in his area. 

One of the first things Terry wants to do is organise a Door Supervisors conference in Sheffield, with the opportunity to speak directly to Bill Butler the Chief Executive of the SIA.
