ICM Work-related Violence Survey

Being attacked verbally or physically at anytime is a criminal offence. Attacks on Door Supervisors and other workers, whose job requires them by law to take action to enforce the law, or face prosecution is as serious as an attack on a Police Officer.

The Institute of Conflict Management is trying to establish a true picture of the violence faced by Door Supervisors, Security Operatives, and others whose work requires them to enforce the Law, or themselves face prosecution.  Examples of this would be refusing entry to someone you believe to be under-the-influence, under-age, disorderly; Ejecting someone for being Drunk or Disorderly, Under-age, etc.

Completeing this survey helps you, your colleagues, and Doorwatch members all over the country.  National Doorwatch will have full access to the research and its findings.  We will use this information to lobby for greater understanding from, the Police, the Criminal Justice System, and the community, of the tremendous pressure under which we operate, to perform a vital role in protecting the Public from harm.
