Having had a torrid time at the hands of Coventry Doorwatch members, Bill Butler made good on his promise to look into some of the licensing issues they raised. The head of the SIA, Bill Butler, delivers for members of Coventry Doorwatch. On Monday the 12th Dec, Bill Butler the Chief Executive of the SIA promised to look into the issues raised by the Coventry members. It would be fair to say that virtually all of us present felt we'd heard all this before! However given that he'd taken time out to attend, we gave decided to give him the benefit of the doubt - and fair play to the guy he delivered. Lackey, the Acting Chair of Coventry Doorwatch, was asked by a couple of the members about a couple of specific issus relating to their license. Lackey contacted Bill and was referred to one of the SIA team responsible for this area. Consequently the matter was swiftly resolved and the members concerned were able to continue working. Speaking about the help he'd recieved Lackey said "I know it doesn't seem like much - but before we had Doorwatch no one listened to us - now we have a means of getting to the people who can help." He's right of course - it isn't much - but it's a start.
